Orthodox Wedding

WE TREAT YOUR WEDDING DAY AS IF IT WERE OUR OWN!

A Greek Orthodox wedding has a mysterious, almost supernatural quality about it.To begin with, Mykonos’ hundreds of churches — some claim there are as many as the days in a year! – are a tourist magnet in and of themselves. They are usually modest and whitewashed, with traditional blue domes, and are lighted by dozens of candles, which emphasize magnificent wall murals and holy icons, creating a serene and pious environment, suitable for individuals who wish to pray or reflect.
Although some of the churches are rather old, the bulk come from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. The Ministry of Culture has designated many of the older ones as protected historical monuments. Even if you are not Orthodox, it is worthwhile to attend a traditional Greek wedding ceremony, this involves the betrothal service, the couple’s crowning, and sipping the holy wine from the same cup, the priest’s, best man’s, and/or maid of honor’s ceremonial “dance” as well as the psalms that seem to reach into the beautiful heavens above. Due to the high temperatures in the morning and midday, Orthodox marriages can take place at any time of day, this can culminate in a memorable beach party, a reception at a five-star resort, and much more.

WE TAKE YOUR WEDDING DAY AS A PERSONAL MATTER!
